Dear Austin: We’re quite in limbo.
I don’t know about any of you non-Austinites, but our weather spectrum here in the Lonestar State has been ranging from a beautiful 80 degrees to a not so beautiful 40 degrees over the past month. I mean, I write this as it’s currently 65 degrees, and dropping a frigid 20 degrees over the next couple of hours. Deciding what to wear on a daily basis is a tricky puzzle—since one day you’re shuffling out the coats you thought you stored away (for good), and the next day flip flops and a tee will do.
In my book, this weather puzzle means that it’s officially the season of the trench coat. Layering this light outerwear looks extra chic, while also giving you just enough extra protection on a chilly day. I layered this over-sized trench over a light plaid blouse — the perfect top to transition your wardrobe into spring — and a pair of white denim. I’ve been reaching for pastels lately, since it’s a mega spring trend that’s most definitely on the fashion world’s radar. This pastel purple fedora adds that extra something-something to jazz up an #ootd. Last but not least, pair of open-toe booties are always a great go-to for winter-to-spring dressing, so the Lekas by Dolce Vita were a no-brainer. Scroll down for more deets and links!
