Transitions

We’re headed somewhere extra-sunny this weekend.
I’m super excited to be Bahama bound with the fam (yes mom, bro, pops — all of us except for sweet Chloe) for a little beach-based getaway. I always feel that January and February are filled with hundreds of resolutions, to-do lists, and plans — and I think that a vacay at this time of year is always appropriate. Stay tuned on instagram as we’ll definitely be sifting through some new selections of spring break appropriate clothes and baubles.
As far as Texas goes, it’s currently 75 degrees as I write this. Summer in February? Not mad about it (at all, at all). However, I know that not everyone lives deep in the heart of Texas and can wear shorts in the middle of winter. With that being said — I’m trying to balance all my looks with a little bit of Tejas winter and a little bit of “regular” winter. This turtleneck is a fab-u-lous winter staple that can easily transition your wardrobe from winter to spring. How I plan on achieving the transition? Jeans are always the option when it comes to effortless transition. If it’s cold, tuck your jeans into booties or loafers. If it’s warm, pull out those lace-up flats or heels and sandals. I tried to style this look with a little bit of each season to get that transitional look and feel. These jeans are my current go-to because they’re great quality (AGs will last you for-ever), ankle cut (perfect for my petite body), and distressed (super on-trend). I’m also a sucker for these cutie kicks — confirming that lace-ups really do have my heart this spring. Find the rest of the outfit details below! XO
