Why do we all suddenly love culottes?

The billowy pants embody a flawlessly flattering shape, and their versatile structure allows an array of outfit possibilities. The voluminous bottom is a catalyst for all day comfort, and the chic silhouette is officially in-vogue—and I’m definitely not complaining. Pair them with a crop, a loose-fitted sweater, a button-down, or a blazer. Dress them up or dress them down. Wear culottes to your 9-5 with a button-down silk blouse, or wear them downtown with a crop.

My favorite culottes are The Pleated Culottes by Wayf (what I’m wearing) and 1.STATE Culottes (similar, but comes in all sizes and both black and white). The silky texture feels like air around your body, and the price is very much on point (under $70.00!). I foresee these pants effortlessly transitioning from spring to summer to fall, curating an abundance of darling outfit combinations in my wardrobe. Since I’m only 5’4”, I like to wear these silky, billowing trousers with a heel—particularly a casual here like the Nolin Sandal by Dolce Vita so they don’t overcome my petite legs. I threw on this 70’s inspired crop top with bell sleeves so that you can see still the high-waisted shape of the darling pants. This fedora by Topshop always adds that extra touch of style, and my favorite ray-bans always successfully top it off.
