Over-the-knees are the new ordeal in my closet.
Boots that land right over-the-knee (thanks very much, Jessi, for the obvious) are tricky. If you’re in the market for your first pair, I’ll let you in on a secret that will make your search a whole lot easier: you have to get the right ones for you. Being petite, if I find a pair that is too tall, I immediately am showcasing all boot with zero leg (all boot, no leg: not cute). If I find a pair that are too loose, I look short and frumpy and should be advised to take them off immediately. If I choose the wrong color – they won’t go with anything and they’ll simply just collect dust in the closet. If I find a pair that are too expensive, well – then they are just too expensive and honestly not worth the investment because I’m afraid I’ll get them dirty or they’re tricky to style. You get the gist. So enter these Owen Over-the-Knee Boots by Charles by Charles David. This pair was instantly a favorite–surpassing my extremely-picky-OTK-boot checklist. I think there’re only 2 other boots that have ever passed my OTK boot checklist and these babies are in stock. (Sidenote: I’m also a huge fan of this over-the-knee by Steve Madden – not pictured here but I had to include in today’s post.) I styled these Charles by Charles David cuties 3 different ways to show the versatility and the instant chic-ness (love that word) that they add to any outfit. I also included my top 3 favorite coats/sweaters – since temps are dropping fast fast fast. You can scroll through the thumbnails below to get in on all the details, but here’s a little summary for you.
